The purpose of this program instruction is to rescind the guidance for the assessment module described in PI-90-46 Revised Home Delivered Meal Assessment Form/Module and to update the requirements and procedures for referring consumers to therapeutic, or medically tailored home delivered meals.
Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) waiver providers are required to enroll in the MassHealth program with an assigned MassHealth Waiver Provider number. If a company provides services to individuals who are enrolled in the Frail Elder HCBS Waiver, providers must complete specific MassHealth enrollment forms. The original PI addressing frozen meals, PI-10-06, included guidance on cook/chill and cook/chill/rethermalization systems, as well as frozen meals. This PI separates the guidance on frozen meals from guidance on cook/chill and cook/chill/rethermalization. This PI supersedes and replaces PI-10-06.
This PI is a revision of PI-02-42 Title III-C Nutrition Services Standard Invoice which outlined the monitoring of program’s financial operations. The goal of this revision is to create consistent financial reporting across the network.
